The regions in and around Mathura and Vrindavan, i.e., places on both sides of the Yamuna River, are called Brajbhoomi by Krishna devotees. They are revered for being associated with Lord Krishna and his childhood. If you’d like to explore these places, check the Mathura Vrindavan trip package itinerary from GT Holidays.
Upon your arrival at the Delhi Airport, our tour manager will welcome you and help you transfer to Vrindavan, believed to be the place where Lord Krishna spent his childhood. You will visit the Banke Bihari Temple, Prem Mandir, and the ISKCON Temple here. The Banke Bihari Temple is believed to have been established by Swami Haridas, the guru of Tansen. Later, proceed to Rangnath Ji Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Lakshmi Devi.
Move to Mathura to enjoy a delectable vegetarian lunch. In the evening, you will visit the Dwarkadhish Temple, built by Seth Gokul Das Parikh and end the day with a Yamuna ji ki aarthi.
End the day at a luxury hotel in Mathura.
Today, after a hearty breakfast, you will head out to explore the different places associated with Braj Bhoomi. The first stop on the itinerary is Gokul, which is where you can visit the Gokulnath Temple. Lord Krishna is believed to have lived in Gokul before moving to Vrindavan, as Krishna had killed many demons, including Bakasura and Putana.
The next stop on the tour is Govardhan, where Lord Krishna lifted the Govardhan Mountain. Some temples you will visit include Shri Giriraj Maharaj Danghati Mandir, Kusum Sarovar, and Shyam Kund. Continue your journey to Mahavan, where Lord Krishna played along the Yamuna River with his friends. Some places you will visit in Mahavan include Raman Reti and the Mathura Nathji Temple.
Later, return to Mathura to spend the night.
Today, after breakfast, you will check out of the hotel to visit the Pavan Sarovar in Nandgaon. This is a sacred pond where the Gopikas and Gopas would bring the cows to drink fresh water. It is believed that taking a bath in Pavan Sarovar relieves a person from all sins.
Move to Barsana, believed to be the birthplace of Radha. Don’t miss Prem Sarovar, a lake believed to have been formed by the tears of Radha and Krishna when they were separated.
Later in the evening, head to Delhi to explore places in New Delhi before returning home.
