Upon your arrival at Leh Airport, you will be greeted by our agent and taken to your hotel. Enjoy a welcome drink as you enter the hotel. After the check-in formalities are completed, you can spend the rest of the day at your own pace.
Relish a delicious breakfast, and then get ready to explore Leh to the fullest. You will be beginning with Shey Palace, a Stakna monastery that is perched at an altitude of 3,600 m. Shey was once the summer capital of Ladakh and contains Ladakh’s second largest Buddha statue.
From there, move on to Hemis, a village that is popular for being home to the Hemis Monastery, which was built way back in 1672 AD. Finish off the day by going to the Thiksey Monastery or Thiksey Gompa, a monastery located on a hillock that overlooks the Indus Valley.
Today will be dedicated to witnessing Pangong Lake, the highest saltwater lake in the world. While you get driven to the lake via Chang La Pass, halt to have your lunch in the village of Tagste. Proceed towards Pangong Lake, whose blue waters will leave you spellbound. Get back to Leh at night.
After having a filling breakfast, commence the day by visiting Khardung, a mountain pass that is known to be among the highest motorable roads in the world. Situated at a height of 5,359 m, it is located about 40 kms from Leh. Pay your respects at the Gurudwara Pathar Sahib which was built in honour of Guru Nanak. You will also get to witness the point where the Indus River meets the Zanskar River.
In the morning, have your breakfast and then leave for the airport to board your flight back home.
