Your trip begins in Barcelona, where our tour guide will meet you at the airport. After you land in Barcelona, you will be met by our tour representative. Barcelona is a vibrant city famous for its food, nightlife, football culture, and attractions like the La Sagrada Familia.
The first stop for the second day of your trip is La Sagrada Familia, an unfinished Roman Catholic minor basilica whose construction was started in 1882 by Francisco de Paula del Villar but later taken over by Antoni Gaudi. Portions of the building designed by Antoni Gaudi have been listed on the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The next destination on the list is Casa Mila, another famous creation of Antoni Gaudi and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Later, head on to the Picasso Museum to explore the artworks of Pablo Picasso, including drawings, sculptures, and engravings.
Some other places we’ll cover include – the Olympic Village, the Columbus Monument in La Rambla, and Montjuic hill, from where you can glimpse the Olympic Stadium and the Sant Jordi Palace.
Day 3 is also dedicated to exploring Barcelona, where we will cover the world of intricate art at the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art. You will head for a fabulous sound and light show at the Magic Fountain in the evening.
On the fourth day, take a flight from Barcelona to Granada. This beautiful city is in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains. On your first day in Granada, you’ll enjoy a flamenco dance show at the Sacromonte caves. Spend the night at a hotel in Granada.
Some of the highlights of your Granada tour include Alhambra, one of the most famous monuments of the Moorish Empire. The palace was listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1984 and is considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Muslim World. The next place on the list is Generalife, which once served as a summer palace of the Nasrid rulers. The palace is famous for its orchards, gardens and amphitheatres.
Take a train from Granada to Seville on your sixth day. Spend the rest of the day relaxing at your hotel in Seville. This beautiful city is famous for its cathedrals, churches, and monasteries. Seville is also considered to be the birthplace of the flamenco dance. Spend your day exploring this medieval town’s beautiful art and architecture.
Day 7 involves exploring the city of Seville. Some places we will cover include the Catedral de Sevilla, the third-largest church in the world, Santa Cruz, a former Jewish quarter home to the Giralda Tower built around the 12th century and the Alcazar Palace.
We’ll also take you to the Plaza de Toros de la Maestranza, the world’s biggest bullfighting festival venue. Other highlights in your Seville trip are Torre del Oro, also called Tower of Gold, built in the 13th century and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We’ll end your day with a cruise on the Guadalquivir River.
Leave for the Seville airport to reach Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. Lisbon is a historic city famous for its cobblestone streets, eclectic arts, medieval architecture, and terrace gardens. We’ll arrange a private cab to take you to the hotel, where you’ll spend the evening and prepare for a busy itinerary the following day.
Explore the capital of Portugal, Lisbon, on the ninth day. There are plenty of things you can do and places to visit in Lisbon. Don’t miss the Torre de Belem, Alfama District, Sintra Castle, and the National Tile Museum. End the day with a Fado Show, folk music based on ballads, and a wine-tasting session.
Get on a flight to depart from Lisbon for Madrid, the beautiful capital of Spain, and spend the night at the hotel. Madrid is a historic city famed for its beautiful architecture, food markets, and busy nightlife.
Some places we’ll cover in Madrid include the Sabatini Gardens, a neoclassical-themed garden within the Royal Palace. We will also include the Royal Palace, the official home of the Spanish Royalty, the Plaza Mayor, San Lorenzo de El Escorial, Catedral de Sta Maria la Real de la Almudena, Cybele Palace, and the National Museum of History.
Check out from your hotel and head to the airport to board your flight back home.
