The tour representative will meet you on your arrival at Colombo airport.
You will be transferred to a private vehicle to proceed toward Kandy, the second-largest city in Sri Lanka. Kandy boasts unique cultural and historical attractions amidst lush green forests and mountain ranges. Formerly known as Senkadagalapura, the last capital city of the Sinhalese kingdom, Kandy today displays the influence of Buddhism through its shrines and monasteries.
You will proceed to a cultural show and later to your hotel for an overnight stay in Kandy.
After a hearty morning breakfast at the hotel, our representative will take you to do local sightseeing in the quaint town of Nuwara Eliya. Known as the “Little England” of Sri Lanka for its cold climate and colonial-style bungalows, Nuwara Eliya showcases beautiful backdrops of Mountains, Valleys, Waterfalls, and Tea Plantations. Explore Nuwara Eliya through the city tour and visit a tea factory and the Seetha Amman Temple; take a stroll in Victoriya Park and a boat ride on the Gregory Lake.
Transfer to a Hotel in Nuwara Eliya. Stay overnight.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel. You will now proceed to Bentota, a resort town on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka. The drive from Nuwara to Bentota will take approximately 5 hours. After you reach Bentota, you will check in at the Blue Beach resort.
Relax and stay overnight at Bentota.
Have a leisurely morning breakfast at the hotel.
There are many attractive sightseeing options that you can choose to explore. You can visit the Kande Viharaya Temple, Turtle farm, and Galle Dutch fort or head out to the beach for water sports and boat rides on the Bentota River.
You will then head to Colombo. Once in Colombo, you will drive through the city’s landmark areas. You can explore the Fort that used to be a British administrative centre, Sea Street, Kayman’s gate, Colombo Museum, and the Natural history museum. The city also holds many ancient, historical, and spiritual sites, such as the 18th-century Dutch church of Wolfendhaal, the ancient 6th century B.C. Kelaniya Buddhist temple and the Hindu temple with extensive stone carvings in the Bazaar area.
