Day 1 : Arrive In Athens

On arrival at Athens International Airport, our tour manager will greet you and help you transfer to the hotel. Spend the rest of the day exploring the neighbouring areas around the hotel.

Overnight in Athens.

Day 2 : Athens City Tour, Acropolis Museum

Athens is known for its glorious past and is often called the cradle of Western Civilisation. Its ancient ruins, natural beauty, and vibrant nightlife attract millions of tourists from across the world. After a scrumptious breakfast spread, you’ll head out to explore the city through a full-day city tour covering cultural attractions that haven’t been lost in the sands of time. Some important attractions we’ll cover include:

The Temple of Olympian Zeus – Also called the Columns of Olympian Zeus, is dedicated to Zeus, the ruler of Mount Olympus.

The Arch of Hadrian – The arch was probably erected to honour Roman Emperor Hadrian, thanking him for his donations to the city of Athens.

Acropolis – This 2500-year-old architecture is home to the Parthenon Temple, dedicated to Athena, the god of wisdom and military victory and the patron god of Athens.

The Temple of Hephaestus – This Doric peripteral temple is dedicated to Hephaestus, the patron of metal workers.

The Temple of Poseidon is dedicated to Poseidon, the Greek God of the Sea. It is one of the earliest buildings built by the Athenians.

Museum of Cycladic Art – This grand museum hosts over 3000 ancient Greek, Cycladic, and Cryption culture artefacts.

After a scrumptious lunch of souvlaki, Greek salad, moussaka, tzatziki, and other Greek delicacies, you’ll explore the Acropolis Museum. This is one of the finest museums in the world and worth dedicating half a day to explore its contents.

The Acropolis Museum is home to thousands of artefacts brought from the several ruins of monuments across Athens, namely, the Acropolis, the Parthenon, and the Erechtheion.

Spend the evening shopping and exploring the local markets in Athens. Overnight in Athens.

Day 3 : Athens - Heraklion

After a breakfast buffet, head on to Heraklion by flight. Check in to the Heraklion hotel and spend the evening exploring places around the hotel. Spend the night in Heraklion.

Day 4 : Heraklion

Heraklion is the largest town in Crete and is renowned for its beaches, churches, and vineyards. After a breakfast buffet, you’ll move on to explore the city. Some of the places you’ll explore as part of our Athens tour package include:

The Palace of Knossos – The ruins of Knossos were first discovered in 1878 and were the palatial residence of the Minoan king, queen, and priests. Popular attractions include the Throne Room, The Megaron of the Queen, and the Bull’s Head fresco.

The Archaeological Museum Of Heraklion – The museum is famous for its magnificent collections from the Neolithic to the Roman period and objects from the Minoan civilisation.

The Churches of Heraklion – Some churches you’ll explore include the Church of Saint-Pierre-Saint-Paul, the Basilica of Agios Titos, the Agios Minas Cathedral, and the Basilica of Agios Markos.

Spend the night in Heraklion.

Day 5 : Depart Heraklion

Bid goodbye to beautiful Heraklion and Greece as you move to the Heraklion International Airport to catch your flight back home or move on to the next leg of your Europe tour.
