Welcome to the captivating land of Jordan! Your journey begins as you touch down at Amman Airport, where you'll be warmly greeted by our representative. They'll be there to assist you with the visa formalities, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free entry into this beautiful country. Afterward, we'll head to your hotel for check-in.
With the formalities sorted, the rest of the evening is yours to enjoy at your leisure. Take this time to relax, soak in the ambiance of Amman, or perhaps explore a bit of the city. Your comfortable overnight stay awaits you at the hotel in Amman.
After a satisfying breakfast, you will start on an exciting journey south towards Petra. Along the way, we'll make some remarkable stops that unveil the rich history and culture of Jordan.
The first destination is Mount Nebo, a site held in great reverence in Jordan's history. It is believed to be the place where Moses was laid to rest. Here, you'll find a small Byzantine church, originally constructed by early Christians, which has since grown into a grand complex. Notably, in 2001, the Late Pope John Paul II delivered a sermon to a congregation of around 20,000 Faithfuls at this location.
Your next stop will take you to Saint George Church in Madaba. The highlight of this visit is the Madaba Mosaic Map, a remarkable mosaic that adorns the floor of the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George. The church itself was built in 1896 AD, standing upon the ruins of an older 6th-century Byzantine church. With these enriching experiences, you will continue your journey southward towards the enchanting city of Petra. It's here that you will rest for the night at a comfortable hotel.
Today, you will go on a journey to the magnificent Petra Site, also known as the Red Rose City. After indulging in a hearty breakfast, we'll head off to explore this incredible wonder. Petra, with its colossal red mountains and grand mausoleums, stands as a testament to a bygone civilization, vastly different from our modern world. It doesn't demand anything from the present except one thing - to be admired for its true worth. It's an unparalleled marvel created by Mother Nature herself.
Here, you'll encounter a remarkable Nabataean-built theatre, reminiscent of Roman design, with the capacity to seat 3,000 spectators. Along your path, you'll come across obelisks, temples, sacrificial altars, and beautifully colonnaded streets. Gazing down on the valley is the awe-inspiring Ad-Deir Monastery, accessible via an 800-step climb carved into the rock. Don't let the name "Monastery" mislead you; it's a somewhat inaccurate nickname, likely attributed to its remote location and some crosses inscribed within. While it might have been used as a church or a hermitage later on, its origins likely point to a temple, possibly dedicated to the deified Nabataen king, Obodas.
This city of Petra is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and exploring its rock-cut wonders is a journey back in time. After an enriching tour of Petra, we'll pick you up from the site and return you to your hotel. Enjoy a restful night at the hotel in Petra.
Start your day with a hearty breakfast, and then prepare for a captivating journey to Wadi Rum, a place of timeless wonder. This extraordinary desert landscape has been left virtually untouched by human interference and remains a testament to the powerful forces of weather and wind.
Wadi Rum is a place where nature has sculpted towering skyscrapers that reach heights of up to 1,750 metres. T.E. Lawrence once described this terrain as "vast, echoing, and god-like," and it's easy to see why. The monolithic rock formations form a labyrinth of monumental beauty, challenging even the most intrepid mountaineers.
For hikers, this is a sanctuary of serenity, with boundless open spaces waiting to be explored. Traverse canyons and discover ancient water holes, where 4,000-year-old rock drawings and other magnificent treasures are hidden, waiting to be uncovered. As the day draws to a close, you'll spend the night at a Desert Camp, surrounded by the enchanting desert landscape. Enjoy a delectable dinner and rest under the star-studded desert sky, making this an experience to remember.
Begin your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel as you will embark on a remarkable journey to the captivating Dead Sea. Situated at a remarkable 410 metres below sea level, the Dead Sea holds the title of being the Earth's lowest point. Jordan's Dead Sea coast is a place of both natural wonder and profound spirituality, drawing visitors from around the globe, much like it did in ancient times when it beckoned to kings, emperors, traders, and prophets.
The crowning jewel of the Dead Sea is, without a doubt, the incredibly buoyant and soothing water, thanks to its staggering salt content of 31.5%. When you take a dip, you'll find it utterly impossible to sink, providing a unique and unforgettable experience. What's more, this magical water is enriched with 21 different minerals, including abundant magnesium, sodium, potassium, and bromine. Remarkably, 12 of these minerals are exclusive to the Dead Sea, making it truly one-of-a-kind. After your day's adventures, we'll find solace and comfort at the Dead Sea Hotel for an overnight stay.
With cherished memories in your heart and a satisfying breakfast to start the day, it's time to check out of the hotel. We'll make our way to Amman airport, where your journey back home begins.
