This morning, it's time to check out and head to Anchorage Railway Station for your journey on the Alaska Rail Road to Talkeetna. Relax in your seat and soak in the breathtaking scenery through the large picture windows. Keep an eye out for wildlife and the majestic Mt. Denali. About three hours into the trip, you'll witness one of the most spectacular views of McKinley. Upon arrival in Talkeetna, we'll transfer you to your hotel.
In the afternoon, get ready for the Talkeetna Wilderness Jet Boat Safari. This adventure offers the chance to observe nesting bald eagles, beaver activity, and encounters with moose and bears in their natural habitat. You'll spend the night at the hotel in Talkeetna.
In the morning, check out from your accommodation and make your way to Talkeetna Railway Station to catch the Alaska Rail Road to Denali. Keep a lookout for wildlife and enjoy breathtaking views of Mount McKinley along the way. As you approach Denali Park, you'll traverse Broad Pass, the Alaska Railroad's highest point at 2,363 feet above sea level. Upon reaching Denali, you'll be transferred to your hotel. In the evening, you have the option to embark on a glacier flightseeing or glacier landing tour. Spend the night at your Denali hotel.
Start your day with the Denali Tundra Tour. Denali National Park is known for its immense scale – from the breathtaking scenery to the towering mountains, incredible beauty, and the fascinating wildlife that inhabits it. The Tundra Wilderness Tour offers an ideal opportunity for wildlife enthusiasts to spot animals like moose, bears, wolves, caribou, Dall sheep, and more.
This 53-mile journey into Denali National Park is fully narrated by a certified naturalist driver who will share valuable insights into the area's history and geography. After the tour, you'll spend the night at your hotel in Denali.

As you leave Denali, you'll be treated to the picturesque Nenana River Canyon, a well-loved destination for whitewater rafting. Before reaching Fairbanks, the train crosses the Tanana River on one of the world's longest single-span bridges. Upon arrival, we'll transfer you to your hotel. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel in Fairbanks.
This morning, you will embark on a journey through Alaska's rich gold mining history with the Gold Dredge Tour. Hop on the Tanana Valley Railroad for an exciting exploration of the gold fields in the heart of Alaska. Get an up-close look at the Trans-Alaska pipeline and discover informative exhibits about this engineering marvel.
A brief train ride with live commentary will take you to the Gold Dredge site, where you can witness how these dredges operated in the gold fields. Following a short gold mining lesson, you'll receive your very own 'poke' filled with pay dirt, allowing you to try your hand at gold panning!
In the afternoon, it's time to check out from your accommodation and make your way to Fairbanks Airport to catch your connecting flight to your next destination.
